Coolidge Scholarship Benefits
One of the most generous college scholarships offered worldwide is the Coolidge Scholarship. For four years of undergraduate studies, it pays the whole tuition, board, and other fees for the student. Additionally, a yearly stipend for books and supplies is provided by the Coolidge Scholarship.

Applicants for the 2022–23 Coolidge Scholarship must have the intention of continuing their undergraduate studies full-time in the fall of 2024 at an accredited U.S. college or university. So, junior high school students, or their equivalent if they are home schooled, are able to apply. (Junior high school students who take a few classes at a nearby community college are, in fact, qualified to apply for the Coolidge Scholarship.)
By the deadline for the 2022–23 Coolidge Scholarship, candidates must be citizens or authorised permanent residents of the United States (February 23, 2023).The immediate family of any current employee or trustee of the Coolidge Scholars Program or the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation may not apply for a 2022–23 Coolidge Scholarship.
APPLICATION DETAILS
Fall 2022 - Application Launch: The 2022–23 application is now open. Only students who are currently in their junior year of high school and who plan to begin attending college full-time in the fall of 2024 may submit an application.
Application materials, including the two letters of reference, must be provided by the deadline of February 23, 2023 in order for an application to be considered.
All applicants will be informed of their results by the summer of 2023. By logging onto their application portal, applicants can view their results. Finalist Interview Weekend will be held in Woodstock, Vermont and historic Plymouth Notch, Vermont, and applicants who are selected as finalists will be contacted by phone and invited. The Coolidge Foundation will pay for one parent and one finalist's travel and hotel expenses so they can attend Finalist Weekend.
Newly chosen Coolidge Scholars will attend a week of orientation at the Coolidge Foundation in Plymouth Notch, Vermont, in the summer of 2023.
SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
- In the first paragraph of your letter, please include the applicant's first and last names.
- At the end of the letter, kindly include your complete name, organisation affiliation, and signature.
- Please describe your relationship with the candidate, including how long you've known them and how you met them.
- You should be as specific as you can in your letter, offering pertinent instances and other details that will help to convince the Coolidge Scholars Program that the applicant is a deserving candidate. - No more than 1,200 words may be used in your letter.
- Letters that are co-written or have numerous signatures are not accepted.
- Either a Microsoft Word file or a PDF file may be used to send your letter.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Observe these steps to submit your letter of recommendation:
- Click on the link provided in the email you receive from the Coolidge Scholarship when it notifies you automatically that a student has identified you as a reference.
- Fill out the following form, then paste your letter within.
- Save your letter to your computer as a Microsoft Word or PDF file before uploading it. Then, at the bottom of the form, click the "+Select a file" button. This will open a pop-up window where you can choose the file to upload from your computer.
- After finishing the form, press the "Submit" button.
