How to Apply

  1. Apply for a master's program (16 Oct 2023 - 15 Jan 2024):

    • Visit UniversityAdmissions.se and apply for up to 4 master’s programs.
    • Save the personal application number for the SI Scholarship application.
  2. Apply for a Global Professionals scholarship (1 Nov 2023 - 28 Feb 2024):

    • Submit required documents, including CV, proof of work, two letters of reference, valid passport/ID, and motivation.
  3. SI Screening and Evaluation (29 Feb 2024 - 20 Mar 2024):

    • Ensure eligibility and provide accurate documentation.
  4. Notifications from University Admissions (21 Mar 2024):

    • Confirm admission status. Changes to admissions can affect scholarship eligibility.
  5. Final Evaluation and Announcement of SI Scholarship Recipients (21 Mar 2024 - 25 Apr 2024):

    • Evaluation based on merit, contribution potential, and representation goals.
    • Approx. 300 scholarships to be granted.

Note: Dual citizens must choose only one eligible citizenship for the application.

Criteria for Eligibility

  • Citizenship in an eligible country.
  • Application to SI scholarship-eligible master’s programs.
  • Liability for tuition fees at Swedish universities.
  • Demonstrated work and leadership experience.

Exclusions

You are ineligible if you:

  • Are enrolled or hold a degree from a Swedish university.
  • Resided cumulatively in Sweden for two years or more.
  • Were previously awarded a Swedish Institute scholarship.
