AICPA Foundation and multiple participating universities The Accounting Doctoral Scholars (ADS) Program
In order to pursue a doctorate in accounting with a focus in auditing, tax, management accounting, systems, or financial analytics, individuals with recent public accounting experience in audit or tax are given financial support through the Accounting Doctoral Scholars (ADS) Program. The recipients will also receive university-backed funding in addition to awards of up to $20,000.

Application Procedure: To begin the application process, fill out our online form. In order to do so, you must complete an eligibility questionnaire, provide three letters of recommendation, unofficial transcripts, unofficial GMAT/GRE test results, and a one-page essay. The authors will email the letters of recommendation to the ADS Program directly. The ADS Program accepts unofficial transcripts, and GMAT scores are confirmed by the ADS Participating Universities. The applicant needs to begin gathering letters of recommendation, transcripts, and GMAT score reports as soon as possible. The candidate should make plans right away to retake the GMAT if the exam was taken more than five years ago.

After completing this step, candidates should click the APPLY HERE link near the top of the program's application page using the login name and password they created. You ought to bookmark this link. Eligibility criteria of Accounting Doctoral Scholars Program 2023 :
The candidate must fulfill the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for Accounting Doctoral Scholars Program 2023 program.
- requires a CPA.
- At the time of enrollment, have a minimum of three years of professional accounting experience, with at least one of those years having occurred recently.
- American national or permanent resident (green card holder).
- a degree in accounting from an undergraduate or graduate program; a GMAT score of 650 or higher*, or an equivalent GRE; (must be less than 5 years old).
- will submit an application and be accepted to an ADS Participating University to pursue a Ph.D. in Accounting with a focus on data analytics and a concentration in audit, tax, management accounting, information systems, or financial accounting.
- After graduating, intend to teach and conduct research in the fields of audit, tax, management accounting, information systems, or financial analytics at a university in the United States with AACSB accreditation.

Selection process of Accounting Doctoral Scholars Program 2023 : A two-step selection procedure is used to choose ADS Scholars. Applications are first assessed for their potential to succeed in obtaining a doctorate in accounting as well as their academic and professional accomplishments. An orientation webinar is open to applicants whose profiles are deemed competitive for admission to a number of doctoral accounting programs. After taking part in the orientation, applicants are asked to confirm that they intend to apply for admission to one or more participating universities to pursue a doctorate in accounting. The ADS Scholars are then chosen by the selection committee from the remaining pool of applicants.
Benefits of Accounting Doctoral Scholars Program 2023 : In addition to university-backed funding, a number of applicants chosen for enrollments in 2024 will also receive a $20,000 award.
