About Minority Doctoral Students Fellowship 2023 :
The national professional association for certified public accountants is the AICPA. In addition to the many services provided to members, the AICPA provides accounting majors with scholarship opportunities.
With the help of the AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students, CPAs from a variety of backgrounds are represented in college and university settings. The program's objective is to increase the proportion of minority CPAs who act as mentors and role models for young people in academic settings. The AICPA Foundation offers $12,000 annual fellowships to Ph.D. and DBA students in full-time minority accounting programs who have shown a strong aptitude for becoming accounting educators.

Eligibility criteria of AICPA Fellowship for Doctoral Students 2023 - :
The following requirements must be satisfied by qualified applicants:
CPA certification
have applied to:
a full-time Ph.D. or DBA program that is accredited by AACSB, ACBSP, or IACBE and is awaiting acceptance;
being admitted to a full-time, accredited Ph.D. or DBA program; or
enrolled full-time in an accredited Ph.D. or DBA program and pursuing the necessary coursework. Fellowships will only be given to candidates accepted into and enrolled in traditional, residential, full-time accounting doctoral programs at institutions recognized by the AACSB, ACBSP, and IACBE. Executive doctoral programs and part-time, online programs will not be given funding consideration.
at least three years of full-time experience in the accounting field or a Master's degree
Identify as a student from a minority race or ethnicity, such as American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black, or African American, Hispanic or Latino (Latinx), Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander.
Attend classes full-time and intend to continue doing so until you earn your doctorate.
You consent not to accept a full-time paid position, teach more than one course per semester as a teaching assistant, or spend more than one-fourth of your time working as a research assistant.
The AICPA Foundation prefers that its Minority Fellows instruct only one course; however, if you are required to instruct multiple courses, get in touch with us to learn how this might affect your Fellowship.
