Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships

Introduction

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) offer a distinctive opportunity for students to pursue a two-year Master's degree at an ACU member university located in a low or middle-income Commonwealth country. Aimed at individuals dedicated to instigating positive change in their communities, these scholarships provide a transformative experience to immerse oneself in a new culture, expand horizons, and establish a lifelong global network.

Applicants should be committed to creating change in their communities and be willing to contribute to the shared challenges faced by both their home and host countries.

Scholarship Benefits

What does the scholarship cover?

  • Fully-funded tuition fees
  • Living allowance (stipend) for the duration of the award
  • Return economy flights to the host country
  • One-off arrival allowance
  • Research Support Grant (available on request, subject to approval)

Cycle Details

Applications are accepted twice a year:

  • Cycle 1: Opens in November/December
  • Cycle 2: Opens in March/April

Applicants need to submit only one application, but are welcome to apply multiple times if interested in studying in different countries.

Note - To be eligible for a Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship (QECS), candidates are required to apply for the award in a country other than their country of citizenship or home country.

In order to be considered for a QECS, it is necessary to both complete the QECS application and submit an application for admission to the desired university course directly to the university. The QECS homepage provides a link to the university's website where you can find more information and contact details to ask any questions related to the university admission application.
