The University of Essex, in collaboration with the British Council, proudly announces the Women in STEM Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2024-25. This initiative aims to support women from eligible countries in pursuing a one-year master's degree in the UK.
The scholarship is a full-funding award covering tuition fees for a one-year taught master's course. Additionally, recipients will receive a monthly stipend of £1,347 to cover living expenses, including accommodation. Other benefits include coverage for IELTS exam fees (for scholars without a valid test of English), return economy-class travel from the home country to the UK, study-related costs, visa and insurance/NHS surcharge costs, and ad hoc expenses.

Interested candidates should complete the application form and submit it to bcwomeninstem@essex.ac.uk by April 30, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified by June 24, 2023.
Scholarships will be disbursed as a reduction in tuition fees and paid via stipend through bank transfer. The University ensures confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Students accepting the award agree to the terms and conditions outlined. Any disputes will be handled through the Student Complaints process.
