Erasmus Mundus/VLIR-UOS Scholarships for IMRD

Brief Description: Aspiring students for the International Master of Science in Rural Development (IMRD) for the academic year 2024-2025. had the opportunity to apply for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships or VLIR-UOS Scholarships. Ghent University also offers Top-up Grants to selected candidates from OESO-DAC list countries.

Annually, a minimum of the top 20 applicants are selected for Erasmus Mundus scholarships. Additional scholarships may be awarded to applicants from specific regions at the discretion of the Management Board.

VLIR-UOS scholarships target developing and transition regions, providing 10 scholarships to eligible applicants from Africa, Asia, and Latin America attending the IMRD program taught in English at a Flemish university or university college.

Top IMRD applicants are nominated for Ghent University Top-up Grants.

  • Ghent University Top-up Grants: Partially waived tuition fee and a monthly allowance of €654.
