Overview:
The GOI-IES program supports high-caliber international students for master's or PhD level studies in Ireland.
Funded by the Government of Ireland, in collaboration with Irish higher education institutions, and managed by the Higher Education Authority.
60 scholarships awarded annually for one year of full-time study, open to applicants in any field.
What’s included:
Stipend of €10,000 for one year of full-time master’s or PhD level study.
Awardees receive a full fee waiver from their host higher education institutions.
Studies commence in September or October 2024.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have domiciliary origin outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/UK.
Apply for admission to a relevant master’s or PhD program at an eligible higher education institution.
Must have a conditional or final offer of admission at the time of application.
Russian and Belarussian nationals are ineligible due to the situation in Ukraine.
How to apply:

Submit applications via the online portal.
Two references must be uploaded online.
Early submission recommended to avoid technical issues.
No alterations allowed once the deadline passes.
Assessment process:
Applicants expected to demonstrate academic excellence, communication skills, participation in extracurricular activities, and a strong rationale for studying in Ireland.
Higher education institutions shortlist based on alignment with institutional objectives.
Independent international panel assesses shortlisted applications.
