The application deadline for the Kawaguchi Shizu Memorial Scholarship at the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences (GSFS), University of Tokyo, is February 6, 2024, at 16:00.

Scholarship Details:

  • Scholarship Amount: ¥60,000/Month (Master), ¥70,000/Month (Doctor)
  • Duration: April 2024 – March 2025 or September 2024 – August 2025

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Privately financed international students from Asian countries studying at GSFS or allowed to be enrolled.
  • Age limit: 34 years or younger at the time of application.
  • Good academic performance and financial need.
  • Not receiving other scholarships.
  • Japanese language proficiency certificate TOPJ with advanced C level.

Application Process: Submit the necessary documents to the International Liaison Office, including:

  • Application Form for Scholarship from Private Foundations
  • Foundation’s application form (single printing)
  • Recommendation letter from your supervisor
  • Certificate of Registration (or Certificate of Admission)
  • Academic Transcript
  • Copy of Residence card or Resident Certificate
  • Study Research Plan
  • Official Postcard with a white background
  • Copy of Japanese Proficiency certificate (TOPJ only)
