Fellowships Benefits:
The fellowship provides funding of $70,000 (taxable) for two years. It is not renewable, and no additional financing is available for travel or research expenses.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Applicants can be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or foreign citizens.
Degree completion must fall between September 15, 2021, and September 30, 2025.
Host institutions can include Canadian and foreign universities, research hospitals, colleges, and not-for-profit organizations.
Applicants cannot hold or be on leave from a tenure-track faculty position.
Banting fellowships cannot overlap with another tri-agency training award and can only be held once in a lifetime.
