The University of Sussex, in partnership with the GREAT Britain Campaign and the British Council, is pleased to announce the GREAT Scholarship Mexico for the year 2024. This scholarship aims to support Mexican students who wish to pursue eligible Masters courses at Sussex, further enhancing the educational and cultural ties between Mexico and the UK.

Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the GREAT Scholarship Mexico, applicants must:
Be a citizen of Mexico
Have received and accepted an offer of a place to study an eligible Masters degree at the University of Sussex starting in 2024
Have excellent academic grades
Have clear and specific goals linked to their chosen course
Be prepared to attend networking events as part of the GREAT scholarships programme, sharing experiences and ambitions on how they and their home country can benefit from UK study

Applicants applying for a Masters at a university other than the University of Sussex
Those progressing into the final year of an integrated Masters at Sussex
Students enrolling in online courses
Students studying the following excluded courses:
Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
Courses at IDS
Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
Online courses
School direct teaching courses
Masters funded by research councils (e.g., ESRC 1+3 funding)

How to Apply
To apply for the Sussex GREAT Scholarship Mexico, applicants are required to provide a statement of academic interests including:

Applications meeting the required criteria will be referred to the scholarship panel for a decision after the deadline. The Scholarships Office will notify all applicants of the final decision by 1 July. The scholarship is awarded as a fee reduction upon registration in September and will be added to the CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for the visa application. Applicants must be able to fund the remainder of their tuition fee and cover living expenses for the duration of the course.
