Introduction
The University of Sussex, in partnership with the GREAT Britain Campaign and the British Council, is pleased to announce the GREAT Scholarship Mexico for the year 2024. This scholarship aims to support Mexican students who wish to pursue eligible Masters courses at Sussex, further enhancing the educational and cultural ties between Mexico and the UK.
Eligibility
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the GREAT Scholarship Mexico, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Mexico
- Have received and accepted an offer of a place to study an eligible Masters degree at the University of Sussex starting in 2024
- Have excellent academic grades
- Have clear and specific goals linked to their chosen course
- Be prepared to attend networking events as part of the GREAT scholarships programme, sharing experiences and ambitions on how they and their home country can benefit from UK study
Who isn’t Eligible?
- Applicants applying for a Masters at a university other than the University of Sussex
- Those progressing into the final year of an integrated Masters at Sussex
- Students enrolling in online courses
- Students studying the following excluded courses:
- Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
- Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Courses at IDS
- Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
- Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
- Online courses
- School direct teaching courses
- Masters funded by research councils (e.g., ESRC 1+3 funding)
