Eligibility

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible for the India Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a national of India
  • Be classified as ‘Overseas’ for fee purposes
  • Be enrolled in a full-time Masters degree program starting in September 2024

Who isn’t Eligible?

  • Students whose full tuition fees will be paid by a sponsor
  • Students enrolling in the following programs:
    • Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
    • Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
    • Courses at IDS
    • Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
    • Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
    • Online courses
    • School direct teaching courses
    • Masters funded by the research councils (e.g., ESRC 1+3 funding)

As this scholarship is funded by the University of Sussex, it cannot be combined with other Sussex scholarships (e.g., Chancellor's International Scholarship).
