The Mandela Scholarship, established in 1973, serves as a tribute to Nelson Mandela's struggle against apartheid and his belief in the transformative power of education. Mandela once stated that "the power of education extends beyond the development of skills we need for economic success. It can contribute to nation-building and reconciliation." This scholarship aims to support South African nationals who demonstrate a commitment to Mandela's values and plan to use their postgraduate education to make a positive impact on their community and home country.
