Sponsors

Shan Vaswani Borgartz, an alum of the University of Sussex, came from Kolkata, India, in 2000 and graduated with an MA in Media Studies in 2001. Shan cherished her time at Sussex, excelling academically and forging long-lasting friendships, including meeting her future husband. Sadly, Shan's life was cut short in 2022 due to illness. In her honour, her brother Sunil Vaswani and husband Lincoln Borgartz have set up this scholarship to give other international students the opportunity to study Media at the University of Sussex.
