UK Sussex University Turkey Scholarship (2024)
Introduction
The University of Sussex is pleased to announce the Turkey Scholarship for 2024. This scholarship is designed to support outstanding Turkish students who are classified as 'Overseas' for fee purposes in pursuing eligible Masters courses at Sussex. The scholarship value has been increased to £4,000 starting from 2024.
Eligibility
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the Turkey Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a national of Turkey
- Be classified as ‘Overseas’ for fee purposes
- Enroll in a full-time Masters degree program commencing in September 2024
Additional Eligibility
- Students with an offer to study in the University of Sussex Business School can combine this scholarship with the Business School International Masters Award (2024).
- Students with an offer to study in the School of Engineering & Informatics can combine this scholarship with the Engineering & Informatics International Masters Award (2024).
- Applicants holding offers from the Jean Monnet Scholarship Program are eligible to apply for the Sussex Turkey Scholarship and can receive both scholarships.
Who isn’t Eligible?
- Students whose full tuition fees will be paid by a sponsor
- Students enrolling in the following programs:
- Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
- Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Courses at IDS
- Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
- Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
- Online courses
- School direct teaching courses
- Masters funded by the research councils (e.g., ESRC 1+3 funding)
As this scholarship is funded by the University of Sussex, it cannot be combined with other Sussex scholarships (e.g., Chancellor's International Scholarship).

How to Apply
To apply for the Sussex Turkey Scholarship, follow these steps:

- If you have applied through one of the University of Sussex's overseas representatives, ask them to register your interest on your behalf.

- Information about the scholarship will be included in your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for your visa application.
