The University of Sussex is delighted to announce the Vietnam Scholarship for the year 2024. This scholarship aims to support outstanding Vietnamese students who are classified as 'Overseas' for fee purposes in pursuing eligible Masters courses at Sussex. Starting from 2024, the scholarship value has been increased to £4,000.
Eligibility
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for the Vietnam Scholarship, applicants must:
Be a national of Vietnam
Be classified as ‘Overseas’ for fee purposes
Enroll in a full-time Masters degree program commencing in September 2024
Additional Eligibility
Students with an offer to study in the University of Sussex Business School can combine this scholarship with the Business School International Masters Award (2024).
Students with an offer to study in the School of Engineering & Informatics can combine this scholarship with the Engineering & Informatics International Masters Award (2024).
Who isn’t Eligible?
Students whose full tuition fees will be paid by a sponsor
Students enrolling in the following programs:
Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
Courses at IDS
Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
Online courses
School direct teaching courses
Masters funded by the research councils (e.g., ESRC 1+3 funding)
As this scholarship is funded by the University of Sussex, it cannot be combined with other Sussex scholarships (e.g., Chancellor's International Scholarship).

How to Apply
To apply for the Sussex Vietnam Scholarship, follow these steps:
Register your interest in the scholarship via the PG Apply portal when you accept an offer of a place on an eligible Masters course.
If you have applied through one of the University of Sussex's overseas representatives, ask them to register your interest on your behalf.
Declare your interest in the scholarship via PG Apply before registering for your Masters degree.
Information about the scholarship will be included in your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for your visa application. If the scholarship information is not displayed on your CAS or you want to register for the scholarship after the CAS has been created, please contact the Admissions Office at pg.applicants@sussex.ac.uk.
Please register your interest in this scholarship before the deadline of 1 September. Once you have registered your interest via the application portal, there is nothing further you need to do to secure the scholarship.
